Supplementary Exercises within Workouts

The concept behind supplementary Exercises is that they are group of additional training exercises using to put more effect on different muscles of the body, and these exercises vary between load and strength exercise or speed exercise with weight. Because I' am interesting in any new training mouthed, So I visited with my friend Shaker Anna, who is a track field coach specialize in coaching speed and obstacle events, in one of Ascalstonia track and field club, something in my visit made me concern with what exercise is using before daily workout which contain 90% intensity weight lifting for all body parts, and repeated twice for each muscles group after worm up, and take rest before main workout start as planned.

When we look to this supplementary exercises, we can analysis its goal to prepare and stimulate muscles before daily workout for all speed exercise and strength patterns, knowing that this kind of exercises was implementing on youth athletes under 20 of age, and one of them was the champion of Swedish track and field in 300m obstacle by time 37.55s, and third on Scandinavian countries in 400m obstacle by time 55s, and came second on Swedish kingdom in 110m obstacle by time 14.20s, another athlete came third on Swedish run 300m obstacle by time 39,55s.

According to my opining from scientific manner, we can say that using this method 90% intensity of weigh lifting, repeated twice will help develop maximum strength and power, which in turn help to increase rate of speed movement much more than light weight, consequently will cause and help the athletes to gain and produce sufficient strength and high momentum to this event, this is very important to increase fast motor units work which responsible to produce power and increase fiber duration work which also responsible for high strength of muscles, the method that we mention before will contribute high rate because dynamic performance needs to develop using this method, Schmidt (1988) confirms that training with heavy weight will recruit and stimulate slow and fast fibers to accomplish wanted task, and this what coach was implementing in his practice by worked in high speed in spite of relatively heavy weight, this will give training its significance by improving motor neuron to transmit nerve stimuli, which give sufficient to nerve system and increase speed. Accordingly, this exercises can be generalize to use with speed, endurance and strength workouts with suitable intensities and then be additional exercise to maintain strength, which is the base and center for develop speed and endurance to extend performance which is athletes need in each events with speed and power which mean all sprint events until 400m and all jumping events need too, this view subject to discussion and criticism.
